The first step is to set the COM parameters: Select the COM PORT Select the BAUD RATE ( RDS 4500 default baud rate is 9600 n 8 1)

Now “click” on Connect RDS button: after the connection the button becomes blue, now VirtualRDS is connected to RDS 4500.

Using “Browse” button it’s necessary to browse and select the file “rds.txt” generated by Virtual Radio.

Now it’s necessary to select if the “song info” must be transmitted with the Radio Text or the Program Service Name.

Now the system is ready to transmit the Virtual Radio info through RDS system.

The info that is actually transmitted is displayed into ”SENDING MESSAGE” window.

The system controls if the actual “ON AIR” material “Type” is into the OnAir.ini Type list.
If not, Virtual Radio sw. generate a “zero length Text file” (RDS.TXT is empty)
A “zero length Text file” turn off automatically the transmission of the additional information and send only the RDS Radio Text or PSN default information.
