RECEIVER TWISTER 5R

TWISTER 5R and TWISTER 5T realize a microprocessors controlled broadband analog FM Radio Link (in 25 MHz bands) designed to insure a very high quality and reliable wireless connection between distant points.
Either on transmitter and receiver are installed two microprocessors, the first one is devoted to measures, frequency programming, output power and modulation linearity control. The second microprocessor is instead entirely devoted to the PLL circuitry.
Because of such an architecture it has been possible to realize an analogic FM Radio Link with exceptional characteristics of linearity to frequency and with very accurate readings of output power, received signal strenght, modulation and with the chance to set frequency very easily through the keyboard placed on the front panel
In TWISTER 5T is installed a circuit limiter to limit the maximum frequency deviation within the actual norms, in TWISTER 5R are also included an AF monitor output and a Squelch. Both monitor level and squelch threshold can be adjusted electronically with the keyboard on the front panel.



OPERATION

Because of the broad band technology no adjustment has to be performed on the transmitter section, while on reciver, only the input filter has to be aligned in case the frequency is substantially changed.
After the ON switch has been pressed, the TWISTER Radio Link carries out a procedure that sequentially checks the internal circuits. All this job is performed in about 4 seconds and if the check up procedure has been succesfully completed, the Radio Link is then activated.
Most of the settings are possible using the soft keys of the front panel keyboard. On the rear panel are placed the input and output connectors.
From the front panel it's also possible to monitor the various fuctions of the Radio Link with the LCD display and the keyboard.
Through a subpanel in the rear it's possible to acces an area where a number of jumpers and a multiturns precision trimmer allow to match the input of
TWISTER 5T in case of non standard impedances and AF levels.
