The TWISTER 40/80 amplifiers have been designed in order to increase the power of the radio link transmitter TWISTER 5T, respectively to 40 and 80 watt (nominal). These amplifiers are useful when it is needed to increase the signal and it is not desired, or it is not possible, to obtain such result installing bigger antennas with an higher gain.
Amplifiers TWISTER 40 or TWISTER 80 are useful in case of heavy path attenuation or in case the paths are subject to frequent atmospherical events that increase attenuation problems.
The TWISTER 40 or TWISTER 80 can be used in any case when a signal increase is useful to improve the overall S/N.




Operation
The TWISTER 40 or TWISTER 80 are installed between link transmitter (es. TWISTER 5T) and the transmitting antenna. The needed driving power is approximately 2.5w for TWISTER 40 approximately 5W for TWISTER 80. The possibility to supply these amplifiers also with an external 12V DC source make them suitable to be operated also in emergency conditions.
